meet jenn

Hi there, I’m Jenn! It’s nice to meet you. I’ve just joined the MCC team as a Student Therapist and I’m thrilled to be here. Here’s a bit about me. I’ve been in a helping profession for 18+ years, working in various capacities in the mental health field. I’ve worked as a nurse focusing on child and adolescent mental health using a family systems framework. I believe that as we work with individuals we have to look at the whole family system and figure out how to change the dynamics within the family unit to ensure that everyone has the skills and tools to manage challenges as they arise.

I utilize a family systems approach, working with developmental and complex trauma, substance misuse, and community-driven social advocacy. I love working with neurodivergent individuals and use a strengths-based approach as we embrace our autonomy and use of self-efficacy skills. I believe in a client-focused approach as we work towards embracing and becoming our authentic selves.

I love to be creative with my clients as we figure out what works best for you. If you don’t think or operate within a box, that’s great because neither do I! I think that’s one of the big reasons why I love working with all sorts of people. We get to be creative to figure out what works best for you, your brain, and how you operate in the world. If you think that you, your kid, or your teen would be a good fit feel free to book a consultation!
